What are the benefits of membership?

Your dog will love being part of a Therapy Team with you.  Many of our therapy dogs get very excited about putting their vests on and going on a visit!

You and your dog will get to volunteer at some of the places where you will be appreciated very, very much.

You and your dog will be part of a much respected community of volunteers.

During the holidays, we gather toys for children in our community, as well as products and supplies that we provide to the senior citizens in our area that are in facilities. They look forward to the decorated bags each year. In 2023, we prepared and distributed 900 bags. We gave out 500 bags for 2024.

Membership is easy and inexpensive.  

Dues are only $15.00 per year for a family.

We also require that our Handler Teams join ATD and purchase a red vest for your dog.  

You need to wear a red shirt at our events with the PAWS Therapy Dogs info printed on it, too. 

ATD (Alliance of Therapy Dogs)

You will be required to undergo a background check through ATD and become a member of their organization. We visit many, many facilities where security and safety is of the utmost importance!

During visits to facilities, please be prepared by having the following:

No purses (a fanny pack is ok)

Doggie Cleanup Bags

Water for your Dog

4 feet or shorter Leash

PAWS Vest and a Collar

Your Red PAWS Shirt

Closed back shoes for yourself

Mask for yourself (if needed)

ATD Therapy Dog Tag

PAWS Membership Card

REMEMBER: ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT A MINIMUM OF 2 FEET APART.
